Recap
SiGMA Depiro completed a league double over Tigers BT with a commanding performance that left no room for doubt, further solidifying the Tigers’ struggles at the bottom of the standings.
The game started with Tigers briefly leading through early layups from Serge Hamparsoumian and Keith Micaller. Depiro quickly took control, with Nikola Bozovic converting turnovers into points and Luca Stefanovic draining a three-pointer to swing the momentum. Depiro’s defence stifled Tigers, forcing numerous turnovers, while Bozovic and Stefanovic dominated inside to close the first quarter with a commanding 26-9 lead.
In the second quarter, Sasa Dimitrijevic’s Depiro side continued to exploit the Tigers’ defensive lapses. Bozovic’s ability to finish around the rim and Randon Porter’s athleticism in transition pushed the lead to 50-20 by halftime.
The third quarter followed a similar pattern, with Depiro extending their advantage. Porter’s dunk off a turnover and Stefanovic’s efficient scoring kept Depiro firmly in control. For the league minnows, Lockamy’s shooting touch provided rare bright spots, but the team’s inability to string together stops left them trailing by a significant margin heading into the final period.
In the fourth quarter, Depiro showcased their depth. Bozovic reached 20 points with effortless scoring in transition, while Alessio Trapani and Stefanovic added key baskets to maintain the momentum. Lockamy fought bravely for Tigers, finishing with a game-high 27 points, but Depiro’s overwhelming team effort secured an emphatic 89-50 win.
